Patient information

Within the patient information section of the website we hope that you will find everything that you need to know about being a patient at Ealing Hospital.

You may be coming to the hospital for a clinic appointment as an outpatient or to be admitted as an inpatient when you will be staying on a ward. In a year we treat over 90,000 patients in Accident and Emergency, 127,426 outpatients, 26,650 inpatients and undertake approximately 16,000 operations and procedures.

Our aim is to give you the best possible treatment and care during your time at the hospital.

Smoking

In the interests of all patients, smoking is not allowed in the hospital. We strongly advise that smoking is harmful to your health and may delay your recovery.

If you are in hospital and would like to stop smoking then ask a member of staff to refer you to the hospital-based stop smoking programme or contact us on the number below.

If you are not a patient, the stop smoking programme runs a number of groups and one-to-one courses all over Ealing. Contact the service on 0845 111 0155.

Mobile phone policy

Mobile phones may be used in public areas and waiting areas provided use is not causing a nuisance to others.

On the wards mobile phone use is at the discretion of the senior nurse, matron or ward manager.

Use is not permitted in the intensive treatment unit, coronary care or special care baby unit.
