We intend to have an active membership community similar to that of a co-operative society initially this will be between 3,000 – 6,000 people.
This membership community will be made up of staff, partners, patients, and the general public. Partners are people representing interest groups, such as Primary Care Trusts, Local Authorities and voluntary groups.
Becoming a member costs nothing – but it does mean participation and responsibility. Local people will have the chance to get involved in the running of their local hospital – for the benefit of the wider community.
Members will have the choice of being involved in a range of different activities, or simply being kept informed about developments through regular newsletters and updates and through email and the website. They will be invited to:
Members of the Foundation Trust will not receive any privileges over special treatment, either through employment or in the health care they receive. Nor will membership limit treatment or access to services at other hospitals.
This is your opportunity to join us and be part of our future, helping us to provide the health care they is right for you and our community.
