Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation services at the hospital are provided by Ealing Rehabilitation Services which are part of the Ealing Primary Care Trust.


Services provided
Ealing Rehabilitation Services provide the following services to patients at Ealing Hospital:


  • Physiotherapy inpatient and outpatient


  • Occupational therapy inpatient and outpatient (outpatient only for rheumatology patients).


  • Speech and language therapy - inpatient adult service only


  • Psychology inpatient and outpatient


  • Dietetics inpatient and outpatient.


Inpatient and outpatient appointments are offered for all services except speech and language therapy, which only provides inpatient services.

The services are accessed through the consultants.


Ealing Rehabilitation Services use three gymnasiums at Ealing Hospital


  • Levels 5 and 9 are multi-disciplinary gymnasiums for inpatients

  • The larger gym on level 1 is used mainly for Outpatients.


The rehabilitation services team

The department has approximately 80 members of staff from different professional groups.  All qualified therapists are HPC registered. The Acute Rehabilitation Services has a skill-mix ranging from specialist to generic.


Rehabilitation Services opening times are Monday - Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm.


Emergency respiratory care is provided 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days in a year.

Gymnasium:
