In the past two years, Older People’s medical services have been improved across Ealing, with the opening of the Older People’s Rapid Assessment Clinic, and specialist Stroke and General medical beds for the acute care of Older patients in Ealing Hospital, with significant additional input at Clayponds Rehabilitation Hospital.
Quality of Life Strategy for Older People and Carers
In June 2004 Ealing Social Services and Ealing Primary Care Trust published Ealing’s Strategy for Older People ‘All our Futures 2004-2007’. This strategy set the direction for the future planning and development of services for olderpeople and carers through our vision:
“To make Ealing a safe, healthy and enjoyable place for older people to live through the promotion of independence”
Working closely with older people and carers and our partners in the statutory and independent sectors we have successfully achieved many of the objectives set out in ‘All our Futures’ action plan to improve services to older people.
