A message from the Director of Human Resources
Ealing Hospital is a small and friendly hospital. We have always been committed to providing high quality healthcare services to our local community. We're also a hospital with a culture of innovation, a clear sense of direction and plans to improve services at every level.
Everyone at the hospital is committed to the development of staff, as individuals and in teams. Visit the Education, Learning & Development section to see the range of training opportunities available for all staff. We were accredited as an 'Investor in People' several years ago and have continued to ensure that we use the talents and skills of everyone through a comprehensive appraisal scheme, backed up with personal development planning for all.
Improving working lives
We have introduced a Flexible Working policy, recognising the importance of staff managing their work/life balance. Our child care facilities are some of the best - we have recently been awarded Children's Centre Status and are the first NHS organisation to achieve such a designation. As well as our on-site nursery which caters for children from the age of 6 months, and our holiday play scheme, our Childcare Co-ordinator can assist you in finding other childcare arrangements to suit you and your job.
As part of the Improving Working Lives initiative, we have provided many Staff Benefits and Facilities such as free membership of a local gym for everyone, and a patio garden for staff to use during their breaks in addition to the restaurant. But these practical things are just the more tangible signs of why it is good to work at Ealing Hospital; one of the aspects of life here that makes a real difference to working lives is the supportive approach of those you will work with. The A Day In The Life section gives you an insight into working life at Ealing Hospital.

Overseas Nurses
If you are a nurse or midwife who trained outside of the European Economic Area (EEA) and you wish to come to the United Kingdom (UK) to work, you must be registered in the UK in order to practice. It is advisable that you contact the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) before travelling to the UK to find out what you are required to do in order to become registered. If you are already in the UK, the same requirements apply.
