Board meetings

The Trust Board is responsible for


  • Managing the hospital


  • Establishing the future direction


  • Monitoring performance


  • Ensuring effective management and high standards of conduct throughout the organisation.


Trust Board Membership is made up of the chairman and five non-executive directors, appointed by the Secretary of State and five executive directors


  • Chief Executive
     

  • Director of Finance


  • Medical Director
     

  • Director of Nursing and Clinical Practice
     

  • Director of operations and Director of Human Resources (These are two seperate posts but for the purpose of voting these posts count as one director) 


Role of the non-executive directors
They bring independent judgement, expertise and a community perspective to bear on issues facing the board. Non-executive directors chair and are members of the Audit, Remuneration, Strategic Risk Management and Clinical Governance Committees, Human Resources and the Equality and Diversity Committee in addition to undertaking specific functions on a number of other committees.


Schedule for Trust Board meetings for 2008
The Trust Board meets on the last Thursday of every month at the hospital. Ealing Hospital Trust publishes the Trust Board Papers which include the  Agenda, Minutes & Reports of each meeting.


Patients, staff and members of the public are welcome to attend these  public meeting as observers. There is an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the meeting. Board Agenda, Minutes & Reports are published on the Trust website.
